Power where you need it most.  Saab XWD is so advanced it will change your perceptions about all-wheel-drive, even on perfectly dry pavement. During aggressive cornering, the Saab XWD system is designed to increase drive torque to the rear wheels. This counteracts understeering and allows the vehicle to flow through the curves with astonishing agility. The Saab XWD system actively monitors your driving with a host of on-board sensors, including the accelerator pedal angle, steering wheel input and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). It then compares your intentions with the available traction and level of g-forces regardless of road conditions.  Saab XWD is activated the moment you turn the key. As you drive, it seemlessly distributes torque and continuously balances front and rear-wheel power for ultimate handling and performance.
